Formentera is known as the last Mediterranean paradise, it has been able to combine tourism with environmental protection and this has made the conservation of the island possible: its beautiful beaches, transparent waters and great climate make it an ideal and special destination for holidaymakers from all over the world.
A vacation here is the antithesis of a wild week in Ibiza; you'll find a quiet, peaceful little island with natural beauty to spare.
We are located in the narrowest part of Formentera, on the road to El Pilar de La Mola, just before the small village of Es Caló.
After turning right at kilometer point KM 11, Es Pas and its palm trees can be seen from the road.
You can download a map with directions to Es Pas HERE
The secret of crystalline water in Formentera and its long white sand beaches is the posidonea prairie that surrounds the island, a natural treatment plant that cleans the water and makes it possible for sand to be deposited on the coast. Posidonia meadows between the islands of Ibiza and Formentera, in the area called Ses Salines Natural Park have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999.
The coast of Formentera is marked by great cliffs that tower above the sea and long beaches of fine sand. Its beauty and the absence of buildings from most of its coast is what makes Formentera different from other Mediterranean destinations. The commitment for several decades to sustainable development has made it possible to enjoy heavenly beaches with all the services and necessary safety without looming buildings or chaotic constriction. What will undoubtedly attract every holiday maker’s eye is the island’s nature, the stone walls, the magnificent traditional architecture and fig trees that have become sculptures in the middle of the island’s fields. The special and captivating geography, a mild climate and Mediterranean plants that combine dunes with pine and juniper tree forests, give the island its particular and unforgettable character.
To get to our small island, it is necessary to get to Ibiza by plane or boat and from there sail to Formentera. Until recently, the island of Formentera was only accessible from Ibiza, which is why it was the quieter of the two islands. In recent years, a route has been added directly from the mainland, with Balearia running the Denia-Formentera route.
